“Redid kitchen, dining and hall floors with Trafficmaster Allure. After much research decided that Trafficmaster Allure flooring was the best product on the market for the cost.  Wanted a vinyl and in a plank form that was easy to lay and not have to worry about moisture/water.  With 4 dogs had to also consider the sound factor.  Did not want to put down wood or a wood look product but couldn’t find a tile/stone in Trafficmaster that I liked.

Ended up going with this as the store only carries about 3 different options in the plank/wood look, the others you have to order which I think is a real downfall to their sales.  Anyway, all I can say is that this stuff looks absolutely terrific.  I’ve been ranting and raving about it to everyone. It was easy to lay, other than the fact we did remove the old vinyl underneath it first eventho they said that we didn’t have to do that. Just didn’t want to chance the old stuff coming loose.

We did not put down new plywood, just used the old.  Have had this down for a couple weeks now and is easy to keep clean and with 4 dogs it hides dirt and dog hair.  It is not slippery and has a good grip and isn’t hard on the feet.  Can’t say enough about this product!  The only thing you have to be careful for are chairs without pads on the bottoms as they will dent the floor with someone heavy sitting on them and moving heavy items around such as refrigerators/furniture.

I recommend that you put something under these items when you move them to avoid damage to the vinyl flooring. Those seem to be normal precautions that you would take with any flooring though.  This is some great flooring and when we remodel the bathroom we’ll use it in there also.”
