Two steps forward, one step back

Two steps forward, one step back
Cork flooring

Last night I started caulking the shower stall, we laid the vapour barrier on the floor and Carlos cut the pipe (and chipped out some concrete) for the toilet so we can install it once the flooring is put down.

After the heartbreak of two nights ago where I discovered a leak in the pipe behind the shower stall (and we had to rip out fresh drywall to fix it), I wasn’t anxious to start cutting the cork tiles for fear we would have another setback. Mario talked me into starting and it went not too bad.

Mario may be installing the bathroom door today and we want to install the shower doors soon after. This is getting closer and closer to being a functional bathroom.

Oh–I’m so worried about cutting into/finding a leaky pipe. What a horrible mess. Glad you’re recovered enough to keep going.

The shower stall looks really good!

Thanks! I am pretty impressed with it as well. I’m kind of scared to install the doors for fear of screwing up but the cork tile went in without a hitch so maybe it will go ok. I’ll read the instructions 20 times first. :)
